teacher
Maria Schönhofer
Maria’s journey into the world of yoga began almost 20 years ago, when she studied at various international schools in Berlin, Paris, Mexico and the United States. She has been teaching both in person and online for over 8 years. She is trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Pranayama and Kundalini, from which she has developed a personal, free and non-dogmatic style that incorporates elements of each of these disciplines. Her practice is enriched by the experiences with extraordinary teachers and the many fellow practitioners she has met along the way.
Maria bases her teaching on the ancient philosophy of yoga, humbly following her instinct and adapting to the needs of her students. Her classes offer a combination of somatic movement, breath work and various meditation techniques, which include both meditation in movement and stillness and sound, through vocal toning, humming and chanting mantras.
